How To Find Your Book at the Kingsborough Library: 5th Floor

This libguide helps patrons find the location of their book in the Kingsborough Library.

Place your mouse on the map to get information about the book shelves on the floor. Each shelf opens a display of the range of Call Numbers for books in that section.

Shelving Order of Books

Not sure how to locate your book on the shelf?

Books on shelf are always placed in the order of their Call Numbers: going shelf by shelf from top-to-bottom, and left-to-right. See below.

When you arrive at your aisle number: Search first for the shelf closest to your Call Number, then scan for the item in the same direction as the shelving order.

Got your item?

Once you find the item, bring it to the Circulation Desk on the 2nd Floor for check out.
