Searching for journal articles in databases

Using databases is a great way to search for scholarly journal articles!

  • Databases index numerous (often, thousands) of journals, so searching in databases is an efficient way to search for articles on a given topic.

The list below provides links to several databases that are great resources for getting started with research.

If you need help searching for articles, ask a librarian! During library hours, you can use Chat Reference (click on "Ask a Librarian" on the library web-site or visit the Reference Desk on the 2nd floor.
